From weekly property maintenance to lavish landscape and design installation, Turf’s Up Landscape and Property Maintenance Inc. has been making yards and properties beautiful in greater Ottawa since 1990. Their innovative partner company, The Urban Terrace Outdoor Living Company, was started in 2005 as an indoor/outdoor design company. The Urban Terrace specializes in landscape design and furnishing of urban living spaces, everything from condominiums to estate properties, with the Turf’s Up Landscaping team implementing the design construction. What began many years ago as a summer job to support his university tuition, has turned into a successful and fulfilling career path for business owner and Nepean-native, Richard Bown.

Turf’s Up Landscaping has been a longstanding member of Landscape Ontario, the Horticultural Trades Association and the Greater Nepean Chamber of Commerce. We are also a member of CPTED Ontario (crime prevention through environmental design) and a recipient of Landscape Ontario’s Award for Excellence.

Whether it is for residential or commercial property, Turf’s Up Landscaping specializes in all types of landscape installations, from flowerbeds, lawns and groundcovers, to water features, decks, shade structures, stone walkways, retaining walls and accent lighting. Skilled staff will consult with the clients to ensure that the design matches the client’s vision. “We install new features or rejuvenate existing ones, and provide weekly maintenance throughout the spring to the fall. We round out the year with snow and ice clearing operations in the winter.”

Turf’s Up employs a dedicated staff of over 20 employees, operating under strict Ministry of Labour standards (WSID – Worker’s Compensation Board), who make up their crews and specialized service teams. These teams include landscape carpentry and stonework construction, garden installation and bed maintenance, design professionals, and residential and commercial property maintenance.

An exciting new addition to the Turf’s Up family of businesses is the Urban Terrace Outdoor Living Design Company.  Dedication to cutting edge design, consultation and personalized spaces sets the company apart, as the Urban Terrace design team brings the indoors outside. The design company caters to urban dwellers who want that outdoor space they’ve always dreamed of in their yard, condominium, loft, apartment or town house setting. No matter how big, small or how many floors the job is, the Urban Terrace and Turf’s Up aim to create professional results in any outdoor setting.

With a lengthy history in community involvement, including participation in the Ottawa Santa Claus Parade, ChildFind Canada, the Canadian Tulip Festival and other local volunteer and charity opportunities, Turf’s Up staff takes pride in their community involvement.
